Fireworks on 4th of July
Fireworks are legal for the 4th of July
Fireworks are normally illegal in Florida if they explode like a firecracker, or if they shoot into the air like a bottle rocket. However, Florida law does allow those fireworks on the following three holidays ONLY:
• New Year’s Eve
• New Year’s Day
• Independence Day (4th of July)
The Town respects the law and will comply with its requirements, but it is important to be reminded of the dangerous nature of fireworks. If using fireworks, residents are urged to be extra cautious!
***Firearms are not fireworks***
It is illegal to shoot a gun into the air for celebration.
Every year nationwide, people are injured or killed by falling bullets shot off in celebration.
Please – use caution with any fireworks!
