PUBLIC NOTICE - Rip Current Advisory

Please be advised that according to the Florida Department of Emergency Management, distant Hurricane Ernesto will bring dangerous rip currents to Florida's east coast beaches through the end of the work week and into the weekend. Onshore winds and large ocean swells will bring a moderate risk along southeast Florida beaches today and a high risk for rip currents can be expected for all east coast beaches on Saturday. Highland Beach PD urges all residents to exercise caution if they plan on going to the beach this weekend - rip currents are very dangerous and can overwhelm even strong swimmers!
