Natural Resources Lectures at the Library

This week we have two lectures highlighting our natural wonders!

Tuesday, April 8^th: Shells of Highland Beach

Resident Dr. Martin Shugar will discuss the amazing shells he collects on his daily beach walks, many of which are on display at the library. Get tips to start your own collection!

Thursday, April 10^th: Blackwater Diving off the Coast

Linda Ianniello dives off the coast of southeast Florida and photographs the tiny creatures that come up at night to feed. This is called Diel Vertical Migration and is the largest migration on earth, which takes place every night in the ocean. Here is your chance to see these creatures without getting wet!

Both lectures will be at 5:30 PM.

SR-A1A RRR Project Update

The southbound lane of SR A1A/S Ocean Boulevard from 1708 S. Ocean Boulevard, Delray Beach, to 4801 S. Ocean Boulevard, Highland Beach, will be closed intermittently between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Saturday, for road-widening activities. Flaggers will direct traffic as needed. Access to driveways and businesses will be maintained.
