FDOT SR-A1A Project Update
Dear Highland Beach Residents,
We want to assure you that we hear and understand your concerns regarding the ongoing FDOT RRR Project.
Whether you are awaiting a response or payment related to a claim with the contractor, are frustrated with the pace of construction, flooding issues, or overall project progress — please know that your concerns are valid and shared by the Town.
While the Town of Highland Beach continues to advocate for our residents and communicates regularly on your behalf, it’s important to clarify that this is a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project. FDOT oversees all planning, contracting, and execution of work along SR-A1A and within the state right-of-way. The contractor, The Stout Group, operates under FDOT’s authority.
We recognize the apparent lack of consistent FDOT presence on-site and share your concerns about oversight and accountability.
We encourage residents to contact Melissa Readling, the Community Outreach Specialist with the Corradino Group, who is responsible for resident inquiries. Additionally, we recommend reaching out directly to both the FDOT District and State Offices to elevate your concerns.
