To remain consistent with Governor’s Executive Orders 20-70 and 20-71, the following operational changes will be implemented.
Effective Monday, March 23, 2020:
• The Highland Beach Post Office will be closed until further notice. The mail box in the front of the building will continue to be serviced by the U.S. Postal Service.
• The Library will be closed until further notice. This closure includes cessation of on-demand services. E-books are still available.
• The Building Department will collect applications and issue permits electronically or via a drop box located in the front of the Public Works Building. No public will be allowed into the building.
• Town Hall will be closed to the public and face-to-face appointments will not be made available until further notice.
In an effort to ensure continuity of services and maintain the health and safety of our staff, the Town has developed staffing plans in each department that allow for alternative work schedules and work sites, with minimal or no impact to service delivery.
The Town encourages all residents to implement safe practices to include social distancing, appropriate hand washing, and avoiding groups of 10 or more people for the foreseeable future to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on our community.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding that we are placing the public health and safety of our community first.
