IMMEDIATE ATTENTION – COVID-19 Update

March 17, 2020

Effective immediately, Post Office services will be available via a walk-up window.  Service hours remain the same:  8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.  US Postal Service will remain available to residents but will be restricted to a walk-up window; thereby, restricting customer gatherings.  If this proves unmanageable, the Post Office will be closed.

Effective March 18, 2020, Library hours will be reduced to 10 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.  Additionally, Library materials will only be available on demand.  That is, residents can call or email to order available materials for pick up at the Library.  (A special email account will be created for Library material ordering.)  Residents can search for available materials via the online catalog.  The Library will also promote its e-book options.   The Library staff will communicate how to access the online catalog and how to access and download e-books.  As envisioned, once the materials are collected within the Library the resident will be provided a pick-up time.  Materials will be collected from a restricted area at the Library entrance.

Effective immediately, public access to Town Hall will be restricted.  Access will be available by appointment only and no public restrooms will be available.  Visitor check-in and access will be provided via the Town Clerk doors following a side window check-in.  Public access will also be restricted to the Building Department.  Building, Planning and Code Enforcement Services will available but it is important to note inspections will now have strict “Social Distancing” parameters for resident occupied spaces.  Online Building Services will be encouraged to the greatest extent practicable.

Effective immediately, the April meeting of Planning Board has been postponed.   The April organizational meetings for the Financial Advisory Board and Natural Resource Advisory Board have also been postponed.    Rescheduled meeting dates will not be considered until after May 1, and may be extended to a later date.
